We have recreated the landscape of the time when the Manyoshu was composed, using plants that appear in the Manyoshu anthology.
The vegetation, which is established near human settlements such as Chigaya – Miscanthus sinensis and Kunugi – Quercus serrata, is arranged according to the changes in the environment and sunlight conditions along the slope. After construction, the site has been used for events associated with the Manyoshu.
Local seeds and seedlings: chigaya, noibara, nokongiku, kouyabouki, etc.
Local vegetation units: Chigaya awn community, sawtooth oak-Konara oak community, etc.
